Chilling: 4–8 hours

Serves: 2

These chocolate peanut butter overnight oats taste like a dessert while offering a convenient breakfast option. Rolled oats absorb the milk overnight and develop a thick, creamy texture, while cocoa powder adds rich chocolate flavor and peanut butter provides a nutty finish. Because the recipe requires no cooking, it is ideal for busy mornings and weekly meal preparation.

Ingredients

  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 250 ml milk or unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 100 g plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Banana slices and chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Add the oats, cocoa powder, and chia seeds to a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in the milk, then add the yogurt, peanut butter, sweetener, and vanilla.
  3. Stir thoroughly until the cocoa is evenly distributed and the mixture is creamy.
  4. Divide between two jars or airtight containers and cover.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid.
  6. In the morning, stir the mixture and add a splash of milk if it is too thick.
  7. Top with sliced banana, a small spoonful of peanut butter, and chocolate chips before serving.

Serving tip: Add strawberries, chopped walnuts, or shredded coconut for different flavor combinations. Store refrigerated and enjoy within approximately 3 days for the best texture.
