Classic Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. Spread 1/4 cup ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 60-75 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
