Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare Shrimp:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until shrimp turns pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Combine Pasta and Shrimp:
- Add the cooked pasta and cooked shrimp back to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Toss everything together until well coated.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve hot.
